I wanted to do more snowmobiling this past week but it got to nearly 50 here and the ice started melting. Seventeen below!  Can you believe it?  I’m freezing my lily white bum off.  I did brave the cold on New Years eve for a traditional snow mobile gathering.   A bunch of friends and I trekked out with some  oil lamps from the summers camping gear.  It was so cool riding on that snow with nothing but a trail of lights glowing.   When we stopped to warm up and have a toast or two, we decided we had to do something to mark the start of a great New Year.  So we stripped and made snow angels!!  Dumb!!   I never dressed so fast in my life after that and we got our asses back to a nice fire and thick robes to warm up.  But it was fun and we had a blast.

 

I’ve decided to try and seek out warmer pursuits.   I’ve taken a lapidary course and I’m learning how to cut stones.  I already do some jewelry making so thought this would give me an edge.  It’s fun!  I will show you some of my finished stuff when I get them done.
